They study international issues such as human rights policies and abuses, the role of global media, conflict resolution, education as a human right, international festivals, international relations, and global health concerns. Students learn about the implications of these issues on international policies and are trained through internships and service-learning to address international concerns on a global and local scale.

The Capstone Seminar is a semester-long course that culminates in a research project. The project/thesis brings together the student’s theme, region, international experience, and foreign language. For additional information contact the International Studies advisor.
Your international experience has to be at least six weeks long. We strongly encourage semester and year-long programs that can be taken during the student’s junior year. International Experience documentation always includes a 5-10 page reflection paper. Make an appointment with the International Studies advisor; check the Office of Overseas Study for available programs/internships.
